Golgotha is a Dekalb-based Christian metal band founded in 2016 by Steve Ward and the brothers Michael, Jamie and Daniel Simon. The band's musical influences span from almost all genres, but are primarily influenced by heavy metal, ska, classical, and progressive rock. Some of the biggest influences of Golgotha are the musical acts Tourniquet, Mr. Bungle, Mozart, Danny Elfman and Avenged Sevenfold.
Despite the band's ability to be incredebly awesome and cool, they still have to become signed by a record label. The members of Golgotha all share a vision for the band - a vision of touring around the United States with other Christian metal bands, incorporating dramatic and circus-themed concerts filled with acting, comedy and costume in a nationwide tour called "The Golgotha Circus."
